Product Description

    Chlorinated paraffin can be classified into four brands based on its chlorin econtent: 42%, 48%, 50% - 52%, and 65% - 70%. The first three are light yellow or yellow viscous oily liquids. The latter is a resin-like solid or white powder. Odorless, non-toxic, low volatility and non-flammable. The relative density ranges from 1.17 to 1.65 and increases with the increase of chlorin content. Flash point: 200ºC. It can dissolve in a variety of organic solvents. Insoluble in water and ethanol. Decomposition temperature: 11ºC. Oxides such as iron and zinc will prompt its decomposition. The uses of chlorinated paraffin: 42%, 48%, and 50-52% can replace some of the main plasticizers, not only reducing costs but also endowing the products with flame retardancy and good compatibility. It is widely used in cables and can also be used to make water pipes, floors, films, artificial leather, plastic products and daily necessities, etc. 65-70% is mainly used as a flame retardant and is mixed with antimony trioxide in polyethylene, polystyrene, etc.
