Microcrystalline wax, white amorphous amorphous solid wax, C31-70 branched chain saturated hydrocarbons mainly, containing a small amount of cyclic, straight chain hydrocarbons, odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, soluble in benzene, ether, etc.; miscible with all kinds of mineral waxes, vegetable waxes and hot fatty oils. It is mainly made from the residue after petroleum fractionation and refined by refining method. It is used as polish for paste products, antirust agent, copy paper, candles, package impregnation and fruit coating; it is also used in cosmetics, color pens, shoe polish, and all kinds of varnish waxes.
