Product Description

Both LDPE and LLDPE have excellent rheological properties or melt fluidity. LLDPE has a lower shear sensitivity because it has a narrow molecular weight distribution and short side chains. During the shearing process (such as extrusion), LLDPE maintains a greater viscosity and is thus more difficult to process than LDPE with the same melt index. In extrusion, the lower shear sensitivity of LLDPE causes the stress relaxation of the polymer molecular chains to be faster, and as a result, the sensitivity of this physical property to changes in the blow-up ratio is reduced.
